“The Voice You Hear When You Read Silently,” by Thomas Lux

June 9, 2010

Here’s one that’s not the sound your friends know nor the sound of a tape played back.

I read “The Voice You Hear When You Read Silently” from The Compact Bedford Introduction to Literature (8th ed.) edited by Michael Meyer. Or you can find it in Thomas Lux’s own New and Selected Poems of Thomas Lux: 1975-1995(Houghton Mifflin, 1997).
