“Shock,” by C.K. Williams
June 16, 2011

I read “Shock” from my summer class textbook, The Compact Bedford Introduction to Literature (9th ed.), edited by Michael Meyer. Before it was anthologized there, Williams published it in his book, Repair (Farrar, Straus, & Giroux, 2000).
