“Carnivorous,” 5 by Michael Symmons Roberts
October 19, 2010
These poems slipped away, out into the driving rain, leaving a clean plate in their place.
A few weeks ago, I remembered the afternoon five years ago when Kathleen Jamie introduced me to the poems of Michael Symmons Roberts, and I noted that some week, his poems would have to fill up the Feed. Well, this is going to be some week! Enjoy.
The “Carnivorous” poems are scattered throughout Roberts’ book, Corpus (Cape Poetry, 2004).
