“Those Winter Sundays,” by Robert Hayden (Guest Reader!)
August 3, 2010
This one knows of love’s austere and lonely offices.
Hope McNab, Minnesota West lit student, read “Those Winter Sundays” from The Compact Bedford Introduction to Literature (8th ed.) edited by Michael Meyer. It’s also in Hayden’s Collected Poems (Liveright, 1997).
Here’s a link to the poem.

That poem is full of wise retrospection.
Thanks for sharing and thanks to Hope for reading.
Thanks Karsten, for linking to the written words for this one.
Wise retrospection. Nicely put, Laurie. And I’ll try to include links to written copies of poems from time to time. That’s a good idea.
Cheers,
Karsten
