My wife is the poetry fan and I subscribed to this feed for her benefit (mostly) and to expand my poetry-world. That being said, I love the attitude in this poem. Thank you!

And I know exactly what you mean about this poem’s attitude. I have to say, though, that I like it even better because it nearly works on the bitter, cynical days, too: “As if one bean could nourish us.” Ambiguity!
