“Traveling Through the Dark,” by William Stafford

July 2, 2010

Here’s one that found a deer dead on the edge of the Wilson River road.

This particular poem is in my summer class textbook, The Compact Bedford Introduction to Literature (8th ed.) and in Stafford’s book, The Way It Is (Graywolf, 1998). This is one of the favorite books I own, and I will certainly read to you from it again.
